First of all, it is just but interesting to note here that to fluently multiply mixed numbers by whole numbers, you must rewrite the mixed number into an improper fraction, (i.e. a fraction in which the numerator is greater than the denominator) before solving.
Secondly, write the whole number in the form of a fraction with 1 as the denominator.
Next, multiply the numerators of both fractions, likewise, multiply the denominators of both fractions.
If your answer is an improper fraction, convert it to a mixed number.
N.B: always simplify your answer to its lowest term when necessary.
